Domaine du Tix \'Cuvée de Bramefan\' 2016, Ventoux
Provence is most famously associated with fresh rosé. But in recent years its Ventoux appellation has been grabbing the headlines for its Côtes-du-Rhône rivalling reds. The winemakers at Domaine du Tix, Vincent Pineau and Didier Robert, dedicate their efforts to expressing the purity of the fruit of the vines. And their efforts haven’t gone unnoticed – they’ve received heaps of praise from some of the big-name critics. The winery is located at the foothill of a chapel, where tradition states that if you ring the bell twice and make a wish, it will be granted. The sound of the bells can be heard over the vines, and when you taste this delicious red, you’ll be in no doubt of a fruitful harvest. The result? A smooth, balanced Syrah with a touch of Grenache. Expect notes of cherry, black fruit and dried herbs. Perfect with rack of lamb.
