The mesh of the doughnut feeder makes the peanuts visible to the birds, and also to you, so you can easily tell when it needs topping up. Hang from trees, brackets, or a bird table or dining station. Best used with peanuts, as seed will fall out of the mesh, but could be used with large sunflower seeds. Feeding advice: Your wild birds will appreciate if you hang your feeder a couple of metres from cover, to make it visible, but near enough for a safe place to retreat if they need to. It is a good idea not to fill the doughnut right to the top, until the birds have spread the word to all their friends, that way the nuts will stay fresh until you have enough regular diners to feed from a full feeder.
