75cl / 12% - This is a blend of white grapes native to Portugal and the Douro Valley and all from old vines on schist soil giving the wine real minerality. On the nose lots of lovely herbs; sage, thyme and rosemary, dried lemon rind, and green walnuts. On the palate this wine is beautifully put together lightly toasted oak surrounds round orchard fruits and a hint of golden delicious apple. Silky and rich this wine will age but is also great with a bit of air. Try this with roasted root vegetables or a roast
