70cl / 48% / Elixir Distillers - A 2007 Lowland single malt from a mystery distillery that was matured in a pair of ex-bourbon barrels and one ex-sherry butt for 13 years, before being bottled in 2021 by Elixir Distillers, as part of its Single Malts of Scotland Reserve Cask Parcel 7. Aromas of grapefruit, juicy raisins, grape-flavoured bubble gum and flinty river rock pools fill the nose, complemented by notes of grapefruit juice, flaky shortcrust pastry, burnt caramel, treacle cake and lemon juice throughout the palate.
