The Alpinist+ Universal skin is the ideal all-purpose, go-anywhere skin built for cold and dry conditions. The optimised mix of mohair for glide and nylon for added durability. A skin covering the full base of a ski adds extra weight and unnecessary drag; most of the grip comes from under the binding area. By not having the skin material all the way to the tail, the Alpinist+ saves weight without adversely affecting grip. At the front an extended TPU tip provides superior glide while trail breaking and self-aligning steel hands secure them to the front of the ski. The tail strap provides up to 16cm of length adjustment and the camming clip grips to the tail. The Removable Rip Strip reduces skin-to-skin adhesion, making it easier to pull apart skins, and if your glue gets contaminated on an epic traverse, you can remove the strip for extra adhesion. A non-toxic adhesive formula provides grip for skinning uphill and is effective down to -30C; PFC-free waterproofing prevents snow build-up while exceeding environmental standards. Comes with a G3 trim tool for cutting the skins to size and covers up to 130mm width.
