Inspired by traditional Indian print designs, these Shared Earth Elephants Fair Trade Bamboo Socks, in two differing designs, are set on an authentically coloured backgrounds, finished by contrast heels and toes. The socks are bamboo rich, for a fine gauge knit that is soft, silky and kind to skin, even if you’re normally sensitive to many fibres, because bamboo is hypoallergenic and antibacterial. It’s that natural bacterial resistance that makes bamboo a crop that can be grown without planet-damaging pesticides and fertilisers, and it’s one that has less environmental impact in general, requiring less water and typically yielding ten times more per hectare than cotton.
