From the good 2013 vintage, this property in the Graves is owned and run by the Cazes family of Lynch Bages. The vines (planted in 1988) are now reaching maturity. 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 50% Merlot with 10% Cabernet Franc. Aged in one third new oak and the rest in one and two year old barrels from Lynch Bages. This magnum has a medium ruby colour with crunchy red fruits on the nose. The palate is juicy and primary but layered with a little sweet vanilla. The tannins are soft and fine, providing a supple texture to allow this wine a fleshy finish. Drink now - 2035.
