This Malt Whisky is 40% proof and was distilled in 1952 and bottled in 1996. Nose Complex nose dominated by many waxes, then clover honey, a little pine resin, hints of orange and a very fleeting feeling of smoke comes and goes. Taste The orange becomes a little more prominent and the wax fades a bit but the palate is a great reflection of the nose. I imagine that at cask strength the wood might be a little too much, but at 40% it\'s seasoning. Mid palate dials up dried fruit notes and brings in a vanilla accent which works beautifully. Finish More of the same until the wood takes over, right before a flash of menthol brightens things up.
