Gemini™ High Shank Foot Gemini’s low shank and high shank feet are perfect for unlocking the creative opportunity to experiment with quilting rulers. The feet are also suitable for free-motion embroidery. You will need to check with your sewing machine to determine whether you require this high shank foot or the low shank foot. To do this, remove the presser foot and ankle from your sewing machine. Lower the presser foot lever and measure from the screw down to the base plate. A lower shank measures between ½” and ¾”, and a high shank measures between 1” and 1¼” off the plate. If the gap is higher, or you cannot drop your feed dogs, then contact the manufacture to see if they are available for your machine.
