A common and often embarrassing problem, bacterial vaginosis is typically believed to occur when the balance of bacteria in the vagina is disrupted, causing foul smelling discharge. Causes of this disruption leading to BV range from the over cleaning of the vagina (especially when harsh soaps are used) to the use of harsh chemical laundry detergents used to clean underwear. Balance Active Vaginal Gel restores the natural pH of the vagina with lactic acid, which also neutralises the odour associated with the discharge. The gel is contained in hygienic single use tubes and is easy to apply. Insert the neck of the tube into the vagina, and squeeze until tube is empty. For optimal results, leave in overnight and wear a sanitary towel to prevent leakage of the product.
