It\'s called a \'dual\' protector for a couple of reasons - one side is silver coated, so you can pitch it with that side facing out on warmer days to keep your tent cool. If used with the black side out, it helps to keep heat in on cooler days, and darkens the tent interior for a better night\'s sleep.
