Continuing my meditations into the gentle pleasures of the English country plot. A ladybird rendered in a deep red enamel, with just enough translucency to be lit from below by bright metal. Enamel is perfect vehicle for richness of colour and an irresistibly attractive lustre, complemented by some super sparkly Swarovski clear crystals for the insect\'s eyes. A charming tribute to the iconic, familiar Summer garden visitor with his smart red and spotted uniform.
