With the help of the internet and accompanying tools, creating and publishing online maps has become easier and rich with options. Many web sites now have map components, and interactive maps are particularly useful in allowing the user to select particular layers or elements of interest in the information presented.Developers who want to publish maps on the web often discover that commercial tools cost too much and hunting down the free tools scattered across Internet can use up too much of your time and resources.This isn`t a book about web design skills, and it doesn`t teach cartographic theory - although it does introduce you to the important but sometimes intimidating subject of map projections and coordinate systems.
