Hammersmith & Shepherds Bush Past
Hammersmith grew up by the river and was intimately connected with Fulham. Shepherds Bush was essentially agricultural, but transformed by the buildings of the White City stadium complex, Famous residents have included William Morris, Feargus O`Connor and the troublesome Queen Caroline, the cast-off consort of George IV. The book contains a rare photograph of the Kennedy brothers watching athletics at White City in 1938.
