Shinmei Miyagi Hitomebore Special Rice (Tokubetsu Saibai Mai)
Miyagi, located towards the north of Honshu, is one area of Japan well known for its rice production. This rice, known as hitomebore (‘love at first sight’), has a smooth, slightly sticky texture once cooked, as well as a sweet flavour and nice gloss, making it ideal for sushi.
