Sanko Kiriboshi Thinly Sliced Dried Daikon Radish
A sweet daikon garnish preserved for pickling and side dishes.Traditionally shredded and dried, this thinly sliced daikon radish rehydrates into a juicy texture ideal for pickling, soups and simmered nimono dishes. Finely sliced and dried in the sun to draw out subtly nutty flavour, this shredded daikon expands after washing and soaking for 15-20 minutes and provides a crisp vegetable bite. Versatile and perfectly paired with aburaage tofu in many classic simmered Japanese dishes, the leftover water from rehydrating this daikon is also useful as a light dashi stock base. Product of China prepared and packaged in Japan.
