Plump short rice grains perfect for rich curries and sauces.Cultivated in a temperate climate perfect for rice growing, this short grain koshihikari rice benefits from the humid summers and cool winters of Tochigi prefecture to produce a fluffy and robust premium grain. Ideal for stir-frying thanks to its firm texture, these large rice grains are wonderful for soaking up sauces and seasonings, popularly used as a bed of rice for classic Japanese dishes such as donburi rice bowls and curry. Notably sweeter in taste, due to its high vitamin & nutrient contents, this special A grade rice also serves as the ideal complement to succulent yakiniku barbecued meats.
