A fridge-friendly plastic tub of miso paste. A large sized box containing 750g of paste made from soy beans, rice and salt. ‘Mutenka’ means without artificial colours or flavours. This miso is made from GM free soy beans and rice. It is an all-purpose miso with a mellow flavour. Miso can be used as an alternative to soy sauce and in all sorts of Japanese cooking, from the famous miso soup, to marinades, dressings and toppings. It is also used increasingly in health-food cooking as it is low in fat and cholesterol.
