Higashimaru Tonkatsu Cutlet Coating
A convenient pack of seasoned flour for making delicious tonkatsu cutlets at home. Tonkatsu cutlet is a very popular dish in Japan where pork (or occasionally chicken) is coated with flour, dipped into beaten egg and covered with panko breadcrumbs before being golden fried. In this case all you need is this simple sachet! Begin by tenderising your chosen meat with a rolling pin or back of a heavy-handled knife. Use a sandwich bag to mix the meat and the sachet contents together until the meat is well covered and set aside for 5-10 minutes. Finally, rub the bag to spread the coating evenly on the meat. Cook in a frying-pan for a few minutes until golden brown and crisp.
