It is recommended that the general hardness is kept in the range of 15-20 dgH for Tanganyika lake aquariums and 10-15 dgH for Malawi & Victoria lake aquariums. For Tanganyika lake aquariums add 3 gr per 100 lt for Malawi & Victoria lake aquariums 15 gr per 100 ltin newly set up aquariums or water changes.
