The Anchorage is a spacious new nest box with a fly-in opening of 34 mm which is particularly suitable for Sparrows, Spotted Flycatchers, Treecreepers and Collared Redstarts. The wooden roof is covered with metal plate, adding to the durability of the box whilst the wood underneath prevents the temperature in the nest box from rising unnecessarily. The nest box can be opened at the side for cleaning after the breeding season. This is generally around October when you can be sure that no more birds are breeding inside A clean nest box will also attract birds who want to use it as a shelter during colder winter months.
