Bird Cake Mix and melted fat becomes a highly nutritious food for birds. An ideal way to introduce children to caring and providing for wildlife. Bird Cake Mix Recipe Ingredients 30g (1oz) of beef or lamb suet Approx. 90g (3oz) of Bird Cake Mix Instructions Melt 30g (1oz) beef or lamb suet in a saucepan. Mix in sufficient Bird Cake Mix (approx. 90g/3oz) to absorb most of the fat. Pour into a mould - if too much free fat appears on top, add more cake mix to absorb the fat. Allow the mixture to cool (ideally in the fridge) and solidify. Remove from the mould, hang up and watch the birds arriving!
