In areas of possible chloroquine resistance, it is combined with proguanil in the Paludrine/Avloclor Travel Pack to ensure you are adequately protected from malaria during your travels. Choloroquine is taken as a single dose of 2 tablets once weekly and proguanil is taken as 2 tablets daily. Both tablets are started 1 week before travel and continued for 4 weeks after returning.
