This Linex Lead Sharpener is a rotary style sharpener for 2mm leads. It features a large bin to dump and hold all your lead shavings including a pad to clean all the leads once sharpened. The Linex sharpener can sharpen your leads on their own or while the lead is still inside a mechanical pencil and will automatically know when to stop once the lead is properly sharpened. It features two gauging holes: one will make an extremely precise point for sketching, and the other an average point for writing tasks. Directions for use: Place the lead of the clutch pencil in one of the gauging holes at the top. The holes are marked with a triangle, either side of the rubber circular white cleaning pad. Click the end of your clutch pencil to release the lead into the sharpeners gauging hole. Let the clutch pencil hold the lead again and bring the lead away from the gauging hole. The lead will be sticking out from the clasp, which will then guarantee it is sharpened to either an average or sharp point, depending on the gauging hole used. Stick your pencil into the large sharpening hole and rotate the lid of the sharpener around until it gives little or no resistance. Now the lead will be completely sharp and you can wipe the lead dust from the pointy end of the pencil using the white cleaning hole.
