This is one in an exciting series of etchings by Scottish artist Drew Mackie created using a specific technique (Photech etching) that allows the original photographic image taken by the artist to be etched onto a metal panel (plate) then inked and printed onto beautiful etching paper. Each image in this exclusive series is like a fragment in time, it’s torn edge balancing precariously between the decimation and fragile beauty of nature.  The contrast of light and shadow in each creates the drama needed to draw us in and make us listen to a story that depends on us for a happy ending.
