The name Coro derived from the partners surnames was not established until the early 1940\'s. In 1929 the company purchased a manufacturing facility in Rhode Island which became one of the largest makers of costume jewellery until it ceased trading in 1979. The company\'s success is attributed to the high-quality appealing designs alongside the fact that they were affordable which made the jewellery accessible to a wide range of consumers.
