The Designer The Lisner brand was founded in 1904 in New York and were producers of unsigned jewellery and also as distributers for other brands. In the 1920’s they imported and sold Elsa Schiaparelli jewellery in the U.S. They also had the licence to produce her jewellery and accessories in the United States. It was in the 1930’s that the Lisner Signature was introduced became well established. Invented by DuPont in the 30’s ‘Lucite’ a type of plastic resin became widely used in Lisners jewellery along with rhinestone and Aurora Borealis settings making them very attractive to the buyer. Their designs are renowned for their use of clean lines, geometric and organic shapes which makes the brand so collectible today.
