Palate: sweet malt, cinnamon, vanilla and floral hints, followed by green tea, lemon, lavender and black pepper. Finish: the cask influence coming through on the finish with notes of oak, vanilla, and black pepper, well balanced against notes of lemon and lavender. BACKGROUND TO MANNOCHMORE You\'d be forgiven for not recognising the name Mannochmore. Its not a distillery you\'ll common come across, at least not in its pure form of a single cask release, as much of its whisky has traditionally gone into blended scotch.  However, some of their single casks are exceptional.
