Fleurie \'Clos Vernay\' is the deepest and most intense of the Lafarge Vial wines, and benefits enormously from decanting. Succulent black cherry fruit is lent complexity by earthy, herbal nuances. Its plump, rounded texture is balanced by fresh acidity. Lafarge Vial is the Cru Beaujolais intitiative of famed Volnay vignerons, Frédéric and Chantal Lafarge. These wines are some of the best Beaujolais we have tasted, but they should be decanted to show their true quality. Drinking beautifully already, they can keep for at least another 2-3 years.
