This ethereal, unoaked Cinsault from Citrusdal Mountain treads the tightrope between red and rosé. Sounds strange? Think for a moment – some of the world’s most expensive and sought-after wines from Burgundy and Barolo have a similar hue – so this is in very noble company. Drawing you in with succulent cherry and strawberry aromas, it evokes jam-making sessions with Mother, and in the mouth it is deliciously supple and soft, with just the tiniest nip of tannin and tang of sharpness for contrast and definition.
