Ungeuer means \'Monster\', and von Bismarck quipped that it tasted “monstrously good.” Beautifully pure, fresh clover blossom honey aroma followed by lemon and lime zest. The texture is more rounded than either Reiterpfad or Pechstein, but there is almost eyewatering concentration and complexity of flavour. Granny Smith apple and lots of citrus character: kumquat, Seville orange marmalade, lime pith; leading to subtle hints of rosewater and Muscat that are absolutely typical of this vineyard site.
