Devils Claw is a traditional herbal medicinal product used for the relief of backache, rheumatic or muscular pain, and general aches and pains in the muscles and joints. Exclusively based upon long standing use as a traditional remedy. The name of this plant is derived from its fruit, which have large woody hooks – designed to disperse seed – which can occasionally cause irritation to livestock after becoming lodged in the mouth, feet or hooves. The part used for medicinal purposes is the swollen secondary root. Each JointEeze film-coated tablet contains 300mg of dry extract from Devil’s Claw root (Harpagophytum procumbensD.C. and/or H. Zeyheri L. Decne radix) equivalent to 1050-1500mg of Devil’s Claw root.
