Airfix Medium Starter Set de Havilland Vampire T.11 - A55204
The de Havilland is a British jet fighter developed and manufactured by the de Havilland Aircraft Company. The de Havilland Vampire was the second jet fighter to enter RAF service, coming after the Gloster Meteor. This aircraft was the first to be powered by a single jet engine. Featuring a twin boom fuselage, which was to become a common feature of de Havilland designs, the Vampire quickly proved to be an effective aircraft and was adopted as a replacement for many wartime piston-engined fighter aircraft. The Vampire T.11 trainer was developed from the fighter versions and served the RAF until 1967. It was an excellent trainer and examples continue to fly today both in the UK and further afield. Airfix Starter Sets are ideal for beginners. Medium Starter Sets are a little more challenging to build than the Small Starter Set range, with more parts. This starter set includes all of the paints and glue required to complete the model. ** Flammable items will have to be sent using a courier. Please note surcharge areas may incur an extra charge.
