Emhar MkIV Male WWI Heavy Battle Tank 1/35th Scale Plastic Kit Scale: 1/35th Suitable for ages 14+ Paints and Glues Required The Mk.IV was the most widely used version in WWI, especially in Cambrai in 1917. These vehicles used no turret, their armament being carried in side sponsons. The \"male\" tank had two 6-pdr cannon and 3 machine guns (the \"female\" version having only the machine guns). The Mk.IV used half-inch (12mm) armour, an external armoured fuel tank (capacity 70 gallons or 318 litres) and an improved exhaust system. Unditching rails were added to help extricate the tank from the mud. Around 1200 Mk.IVs were built, many being captured, re-armed and repainted by the Germans for use against the Allies.
