The bunk features two classic single beds stacked on top of each other joined by a 4 step ladder, and inside the bottom bunk is a pull-out trundle drawer which fit’s a single mattress providing you with an extra bed and sleeping space! The pull out trundle could instead be used as a storage drawer if you wanted, it totally depends what you need or what would be more practical for you. The top bunk is surrounded by substantial guard rails to help keep your little ones safe. Our Skylar bunk bed has a modern minimalistic design with clean lines, and classic white finish to suit any décor. The bed also features useful handles at the top of the ladder to help climb into the top bunk. Need a mattress? Due to the nature of the trundle we recommend our 12cm memory foam mattress as the mattress needs to be quite shallow to be able to fit into the drawer. We also recommend the same mattress for the top bunk for safety reasons, because if the mattress is too deep on the upper bunk will sit too high against the safety rails. Age: Although bunk beds are suitable for children of most ages, it is generally recommended that the top bunk should be used by children aged 6 and upwards for safety reasons.
