In January 2014 Anglesey sea salt was granted EU protected status, recognising the fact that it is produced in a particular region using expert techniques. Sea water is harvested every day from the Menai Straits before being filtered, concentrated and crystallised to form pure, unadulterated sea salt. Nothing, apart from heat and water, is added during the process, resulting in a truly natural product beloved by many a celebrity chef and our Pipers crisps customers.
