First published in Denmark in 1999 in the wake of the 1998 Tour scandal, this edition is the Spanish translation of the 2008 revised-and-expanded English version. \"The book shows that the exposure of this phenomenon was not backed up by a single argument against doping that was not implicitly an argument against elite sport as a whole,\" says the author. \"It dares to question the illusion that elite sport is a beneficial phenomenon because of its health and character-building effects.
