This is the Large version of the Steelite Plate, which is exceptionally robust and well suited for use in care homes and similar environments, as well as in the home.Its extreme durability makes it suitable for continuous use and it is safe to use in both dishwashers and microwaves. It carries a 5 year warranty against chipping around the rim of the dish, which is specially shaped to make for easy handling. Another characteristic is the steeply angled internal wall, which provides a fixed edge that enables users to push food onto their forks or spoons. It is therefore a useful aid to independent, one handed eating. A smaller version is also available as a separate item.
