Bed: The Invacare Medley Ergo Profiling Adjustable Bed combines a perfect balance of functionality, quality and budget. It allows for a range of height combinations using the four sectioned profiling mattress support, providing maximum comfort for the client and optimal position for the carer. The length of the mattress platforms is optimised for the increased comfort of the client whilst sitting up, as well as reducing friction and shear whilst adjusting the bed sections. Supplied with Softform Premier Original Mattress: Practical and durable, this mattress delivers exceptional levels of comfort and pressure redistribution at a great price. It is a high specification, replacement foam mattress designed to meet the demands of the community and care environments. This mattress is suitable for those considered high to very high risk of developing pressure ulcers, and features a castellated insert constructed from geometrically cut surface cells. These cells move independently to provide excellent user comfort, reduce shear and friction and optimise pressure reduction. Build up of heat and moisture is minimised through the key hole channels at the base of each cell, which allow essential air circulation. The outer cover is a multi stretch, waterproof, PU fabric with a full length flap to conceal the zip. This combination of features effectively reduces the potential of fluid entering the mattress. The base of the mattress has a toughened PU coating to prolong its longevity and importantly this mattress does not require turning or rotating, significantly minimising manual handling issues.Please note: The Medley Ergo bed is not for use by children under 12 years of age, or people with a body size equivalent to a 12 year old or smaller.White Glove Delivery Service is available for all mainland UK addresses, including full delivery, installation, unpacking and demonstration.
