This strong Oval 8 Finger Splint is nearly invisible; its main function is to stabilise and align the DIP or PIP joint to enhance hand function.The splint has been moulded from 1.6 mm translucent plastic without any seams. There are many things the splint can be used for, such as correcting lateral deviation, swan-neck deformity and flexible boutonniere deformity, supporting mallet finger injury and helping to prevent trigger finger. For full immobilisation, two Oval 8 Finger Splints can be used at the PIP or DIP for control and rest. Each splint will fit a full size and rotated 180 degrees, an additional half size, it can then accommodate fluctuations in oedema and temperature which can affect the size of the finger.
