The Alerta Wireless Motion Detector activates the alarm using infrared technology to detect movement within the beam\'s range. It can be connected to a nurse call system through the Alerta Wall Point Receiver (sold separately), or used on its own for localised alerts with the Alerta Wall Point Receiver only.Most effective when positioned at a bedside or doorway to activate when an individual leaves their safe area and enters the Alerta\'s infrared beam.
