This beautiful traditional Tibetan Singing Bowl is handmade in India, near the foothills of the Himalayas. It comes with a solid mango wood mallet and the bowl is hand-hammered to create the perfect, calming and meditative sound. Legend has it that this singing bowl is made of a sublime alloy of seven metals, each linked to a star.   There are two ways to play a singing bowl. The first is to strike the side of the bowl with the mallet. The second is to rub the rim of the bowl with the mallet. The vibrations produced by initially striking the bowl make it much easier to play for beginners. Gradually, you can experiment with different techniques.
