One of our best known wild flowers! It produces beautiful spikes of nodding, violet-blue, bell-shaped flowers and has a glorious honey scent. Ideal for planting under deciduous trees and shrubs, it will naturalise readily. Flowers April-May. Height 30-40cm. Grown from cultivated stock. Simply choose a spot where they will remain undisturbed - in a shady corner, or at the base of deciduous trees and shrubs is ideal - and they will quickly multiply to create a carpet of plants that will delight you with a spectacular show year after year.
