Native to Australia, Dicksonia antarctica is hardy to around -5°C (23°F) and thrives in the relatively mild, wet climate of the UK. This slow-growing species will form just 3cm of trunk per year, therefore, taking many years to reach its final height of around 4m. A superb addition to a sheltered garden or wooded area,  this incredible RHS AGM Australian Tree Fern has long, fine fronds of up to 1.5m (5\'),  unfolding from the crown of the tree it is fascinating to watch open and develop to those damp, shady areas.
