Asclepias tuberosa has masses of golden-orange blooms flowers, a hardy perennial makes a fine addition to cottage garden borders and wildlife areas. Bees and butterflies love the profusion of nectar from the blooms making this a superb choice for a wildlife area. As the flowers fade, they are replaced by seedpods which split to show the seed, they can be used as fresh or dried cut flowers.
