Weigela florida is native to Northern China, Korea and Japan. It is a dense, rounded, deciduous shrub that features trumpet-shaped, rose-pink flowers in spring. \'Polka\' is a more compact cultivar in comparison to the other Weigelas. Large, trumpet-shaped, light pastel pink flowers (to 3 cm long) with yellow throats bloom continuously over a very long late spring to early fall bloom period. Flowers are slightly fragrant. Dark green leaves are more rounded that those on species plants. Flowers May-July. Height 100-150cm. Supplied in a 3 litre pot.
