Ecklonia maxima is a specially selected variety of seaweed, harvested from the South Atlantic and Indian oceans, then dried and milled with no added ingredients. It is able to absorb several times its own volume of water, making it invaluable as an ingredient for compost mixes and for use in pots, planters, raised beds and hanging baskets. Saves both time and valuable water resources. It will naturally break down over the season, conditioning the soil with vitamins and minerals and stimulating microbial activity.
