Salmon pink flowers are a rare find amongst perennial plants, with most pink blooms veering towards hot pinks or cool mauves. But Lobelia speciosa ‘Fan Salmon’ delivers coral pink flowers with style. From summer to autumn, it bears dense spikes of three-lipped, tubular flowers which are illuminated against dark burgundy stems and foliage. It strikes an exotic note which looks at home in a hot, tropical border but combined with cooler blues and whites it is equally useful as an accent plant in a naturalistic, cottage-style arrangement.Lobelia x speciosa ‘Fan Salmon’ enjoys moist soils and will even adapt to permanently boggy conditions, which means that it can be used as either a border plant or for planting at pond edges.  Height: 60cm (24).
