This gorgeous forest cacti bursts into a shower of starry, irridescent flowers in the spring. Buds at the end of each segment continue to flare open for many weeks, bringing an explosion of bright colour to a sunny windowsill indoors. Composed of flattened, branching segments it is often confused with the better-known Christmas Cactus, except the Easter Cactus has more rounded leaves and the flowers are much more open and star-like. These gaertneri hybrids come in a range of jewel-like, shining colours from white to pink, red, lavender, orange and peach. Maximum height and spread: 30cm (12?).
