This Chokeberry shrub bears its white, sometimes pink-tinged blooms, from late spring, followed by edible, round black berries that persist into the winter. These edible berries have a slightly tart flavour which make for interesting additions to jams and puddings, but are also perfect for wild birds who appreciate them in the colder seasons.
